Winner!

It has great potential, I think! I just finished my 50,211 word novel! Even with such a small margin, I am, officially, a NaNoWriMo winner!

NaNoWriMo is Almost Over!

In fact, it ends at midnight tomorrow, and I still have 4,374 words left to be more or less exact. Worse still, my story has stalled hard core. I think this is a last minute ploy by my "inner editor" that small voice in my head that likes to tell me how much my story sucks.

Still, there are some wonderfully encouraging people out there, who are urging me ever onward. I'm going to try to listen to them because 4000 words is really nothing in the grand scheme of things. If you're doing NaNoWriMo, keep typing and best of luck to you and your characters!

Now back to the website content I'm writing for an English web design company in order to pay my bills.

Quick Nano Update

I haven't been updating the blog as much as I should because after writing all day for my clients, I start working on my nanowrimo novel. Why I decided that I could write a novel, I'm not sure. I have very little experience with fiction, and I'm sure this rough draft makes that quite apparent. Nonetheless, I'm enjoying the process immensely, and I haven't given up yet. I'm almost to 17,000 words making this the longest piece of fiction I've ever written. My undergrad theses were both around 100 typed pages, double spaced, and this promises to be even longer.

Check out my novel-y details, here
